San Diego Met High School's Business Classes, Internships, and Project Information Site.

Hi!

I am Gini Mann-Deibert (she/her/hers). I serve as the business teacher and internship coordinator at San Diego Met High School.  I came to the Met via teaching at an elementary school (art) and college (sociology/criminal justice), owning my own retail business, and working extensively in community-based event organizing.

As a teacher, I strive to provide accessible real world learning opportunities tailored to each individual student's needs. I am forthright and believe I can help students find their unique voices. I work hard to help students and advisors find relevant internship placements and to incorporate project based learning in all of my teachings.

I am also a fierce advocate for LGBTQIA+ children and an active community leader on a variety of LGBTQIA+ serving agencies. I currently am the Director of Programs for She Fest and the advisor for the Met's GSA. I previously held roles as Co-Chair of GLSEN San Diego County where she provided professional development trainings to educators to create safe schools for LGBTQIA+ students.

About me personally, I love all things modern art, all art supplies, and I have grown to love vegan cheese.  I like event planning (as a hobby too) and growing culinary plants. My partner of 18 years and I have a son, three cats, and two dogs.
